Dutch duo Hurrymania creates a convincing blend of indiepop, wave & folk with a touch of scandinavian frost. The songs, ranging from haunting rock ballads to small and quirky torch-songs, can be dark & emotional but surprisingly catchy.
Singer Rob VanderPlas played in New Wave band the Spivs in the 80's & released 2 singles and an album. He's solo as the Hurryman during the '90's and releases a well received album. from 2000 onwards things started to get a bit quiet.
until 2008: Rob meets Sooi, the ex-singer/violinist of the Swedish/American gospel band the Miscellaneous. There's an immediate click...
